Midwives have been making a significant impact in the Black community for years. There are many reasons why their presence is vital, but one of the most important reasons is that midwives provide an invaluable service to Black women and their families. Midwives offer continuity of care, cultural competency, and sensitivity that can be hard to find in traditional medical settings.
