Ways to Support Black Mothers Journeys

Black mothers and birthing people deserve to be uplifted and given hope. Find a few ways to support and encourage here.

  1. Research shows that Black mothers who gain access to doulas and midwifery services have a higher chance of experiencing positive birthing outcomes for themselves and their babies.
  2. Using a model of care that incorporates doulas and midwives addresses psychosocial support, cultural concordance, and a level of care directly linked to reproductive justice.
  3. Black women need to be at the forefront of policy-making that centers them to ensure their protection and safety.
